Biden Obama’s VP pick???

I think not. I think the good Senator will do what he usually does, and play it politically safe and what is popular at the time. Senator Biden would be an excellent choice he’d have that Dick Cheney/Lyndon Johnson Vice-Presidential seriousness to the office. Senator Obama should select him, only because of the seriousness of this race and how as proof of the recent world events, that a serious foreign crisis can occur. I have a feeling he personally wants to choose Governor Tim Kaine, to maintain the change message and for his early support of Obama, however he’ll probably pick Senator Evan Bayh. That would be funny though because both Biden and Bayh have way more experience than Obama, and that would show on the ticket.
The main problem I would see with either pick, is that it would seriously off Obama’s message of “change”, or I guess “anything I say is change as long as I win”. He kinda has to pick Tim Kaine or someone else. Only because both Senator Biden and Bayh voted and fully supported the Iraq War, Senator Bayh even more so than Biden. So, the same quality he bashed Senator Clinton with having during the Democratic Primaries, is what he wants in his own number 2? He might as well choose Clinton. But that pretty much sums up Senator Obama, always picking the politically safe choice or what is popular at the time.
Senator McCain should choose Governor Tom Ridge to go toe to toe with Biden and he would also be a very “maverick” choice. He has executive experience as a former governor, Legislative experience as a former Congressman, and National Security experience as a former Secretary of Homeland Security. The extreme right would hang McCain out to dry for that selection, only because his pro-choice stance. I say who cares, Governor Ridge is not selecting Supreme Court Justices, McCain is, and also if the extreme right is not on board by now, then he doesn’t really need them to win. I think that would be a powerful ticket. I also think Obama shouldn’t just do what is popular right now and choose a VP with a great deal of foreign policy experience. He should do what he feels, and select a new, Washington, D.C. outsider to enforce his “change” message.
I also think Governor Mitt Romney would be an even better choice for Senator McCain. He’s solid with most conservatives, has executive experience, and he would be an attack dog, doing essentially McCain’s dirty work. I would put him or Governor Ridge against Biden or Bayh in a heartbeat. I think picking Senator Biden would also be very funny because you never know what he is going to say and he would be quick to stray from Obama’s message if someone made him upset. He also happens to have “History and Experience”, oh yea, so does Senator McCain, one of the actual Presidential candidates!! Silly Dems, won’t they ever learn?
