W!!!

I just saw a clip of the Oliver Stone movie about President George W. Bush. I can’t wait, this movie will be so interesting. I hope it is done well, it seems like the people in it actually look like their respective counterparts which is good. This should be great, This will be this generations Nixon. Its weird though, because it is kinda soon to have a biopic movie out already, and he hasn’t even left office. President Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton do not even have movies about their presidency’s. But this is a unique and complex president and might go down as one of the most infamous/famous presidents of the last fifty years. Laugh at that statement if you want, but there hasn’t been a president who’s made this much of an impact in such little time. He’s influenced pop culture, United States global policy, and has placed more power in the Executive Branch than even President Nixon. I personally think he was at his best on top of both the world stage and domestically right after The United States invaded Afghanistan. Now had he not had invaded Iraq and messed up with the Hurricane Katrina relief effort, he may have had a somewhat successful presidency. His approval ratings wera at an all time high right after 9/11 and he could have road that bi-partisan train right into Presidential history. No one was disagreeing with that guy, not until the political smoke cleared and the Democrats started getting backbones, The Republican Congress lost there way and got greedy, and people became tired of the war. Needless to say, he still could have been very successful, Attacking terrorist in Afghanistan and Nominating two qualified Conservative Justices to the Supreme Court. Those had all the makings that might not exactly have been a Slam Dunk Presidency, but none the less an awesome hook shot. That’s why W is such a complex and interesting president, and I would love to have been an insider to witness how this administration operated. Especially considering how secretive this adminstration is (or was, thanks Scott!!!), compared to other previous presidential administrations.

Attacking terrorist in Afghanistan was a failed afterthought and nominating two qualified Conservative Justices to the Supreme Court who will keep lawyers busy on trivial issues for the next 50 years with be just two of George W.’s numerous failures. The few things he did to help the American people were and continue to be blocked by his own party.
Sorry, I meant “will” rather than “with.”
