Lil’ Executive, Big House
Jun 23rd, 2007 by C. Todd Williamson, III
Just in case you’ve missed it, Comedy Central has launched its satirical cartoon series Lil’ Bush. It’s already causing controversy as did the network’s previous try at satirizing the Bush administration in the form of That’s My Bush in 2001.
The show was created by Donick Cary and officially launched on Comedy Central on June 13th. The show consists of pint sized versions of the Bush cabinet (Lil’ Condi, Lil’ Cheney, & Lil’ Rummy). Other supporting characters include Lil’ Bill, Lil’ Mark Foley, Lil’ Hillary, & young versions of a multitude of public servants gallivanting around Washington.
The premise of the show is set during current times, yet Lil’ Bush’s father George H.W. Bush is president. Barbara is the loving mother itchin’ for some lovin’ from the elder Bush, who appears to be passive on the subject and a bumblin’, stumblin’ Lil’ Jeb portrays the Bush family’s dimwitted younger son.
So far the gang has placed bets to see who could kiss a girl first, gone to Iraq to find a Father’s Day gift, gone to summer camp, and learned to stand up to Lil’ Kim Jong. Originally the show was released in September 2006 by Amp’d Mobile.
